Advancing Early Intervention and Holistic Development

Building on this momentum, Yayasan JCorp continued to deepen its impact in 2025 by focusing on early detection and intervention.

The Early Detection and Occupational Therapy Screening Programme, held between 29 September and 13 October 2025 in collaboration with JPNJ and Mindcare Therapy Center, reached 200 students from 21 primary schools across Johor. The initiative provided essential screenings in key developmental areas, including attention and focus, motor coordination, visual perception, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.

Recognising the important role of educators, the programme also included awareness sessions for teachers, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to better understand and support their students’ developmental needs.

Early detection can shape a child’s future. Through this initiative, Yayasan JCorp continues to strengthen connections between teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Building Awareness, Strengthening Support

In 2024, Yayasan JCorp strengthened its commitment to mental wellness and special needs inclusion through initiatives focused on awareness, empowerment, and community support.

In conjunction with World Autism Awareness Month, the Autism Awareness Day 2024 programme was organised under the theme Breaking Barriers, Empowering Autistic Voices, in collaboration with the Johor State Education Department Johor State Education Department, National Autism Society of Malaysia, Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Autistik Islam Johor Bahru, and the Johor State Social Welfare Department. The programme brought together more than 100 individuals from the autistic community, promoting greater understanding and acceptance.

As part of this effort, Yayasan JCorp contributed RM70,000 to support organisations dedicated to autism care and development, while also launching the Yayasan JCorp CARE Fund to expand access to early detection and long-term support, particularly for B40 communities.

Building on this momentum, Yayasan JCorp collaborated with KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital and Cerebrum to host the Strong Minds, Strong Bonds Autism and Mental Health Forum. The programme engaged over 80 participants and reached more than 1,000 virtual attendees, bringing together caregivers, educators, families, and mental health professionals.

The forum featured expert-led discussions and an interactive Q&A session, offering practical insights into autism and mental health. This was further supported by a Coping Strategies Workshop, where participants gained hands-on tools in areas such as sensory integration, coordination, mental health awareness, nutrition, and daily living practices.

Through these initiatives, Yayasan JCorp strengthened awareness, expanded support systems, and fostered a more inclusive and compassionate community for individuals with autism and their families.
